GTA wants to celebrate.
I'm still experiencing stress about the whole thing -- I was already stressing about my dissertation proposal this afternoon and the infinity of work I have to do this weekend to not die academically by Monday.

But it's over,,, and now I can go on with my PhD life.

:)The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-31652912548673592172007-06-26T11:11:00.000-05:002007-09-24T11:12:26.503-05:00YouTube Madness, Moohoohoohaahaaaa!Ok, look. This is the way it is.

I only meant to use YouTube and other video-depositing sites like it to find the occasional video or post-up for my MySpace site. I was happy enough when I found the long version of the 'Fruit of the Loom' Commercial "Blue", the various "Star Wars Kid" adaptations and other obscure bits of released stuff. I also used to go to Retrojunk.com to giggle at all the old 'Sid&Marty Krofft' intros I used to watch religiously and had been posted there.

However, my addiction to YouTube did not truly run deep until I discovered someone had posted the last couple seasons of Red Dwarf on there. OMG! If I ever get a few minutes, I just load them up and watch. It's been getting worse, I have been watching full episodes of "Land of the Lost" (which I have a complete set of on DVD), "HR PufNStuf" and even "Elektra Woman & Dyna Girl".

And now, my subconscious mind wants more. I am starting to finally see the value of the "torrent" stream. I have an odd feeling I may not be able to refuse. There is another season of 'Battlestar Galactica' being made, but I can't wait until the US release in January... uuuuggh *shiver*... I have resisted so long. I suppose I could freeze myself, but knowing my luck, I'd be found in 5,000 years and used as a museum piece.

Anyway, let me know if anyone else is having the same trouble. :)The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-2940588077540247692007-05-14T11:12:00.000-05:002007-09-24T11:12:56.426-05:004.0 Number 2!!!Wooohooo! It looks like my 4.0 luck has continued one more semester!

As a celebration of our wedding (over 4 years ago), my 4.0 and her new job, GTA and I went to Orlando to see Disney World again, and visit my sis and her husband. It was soooo much fun, but now I have to study and research again. :( I just want to go back.

Hmm,,, but on a secretly happy note, I got my static universe emission theory model to produce the inflation redshift curve for the he universe for certain reasonable conditions... Very exciting. Too bad it's not my research and I would get crucified if I ever published. :)The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-26087112068646938372007-01-15T08:13:00.000-06:002007-09-24T11:13:35.847-05:00Happy Martin Luther King, Jr Day!Besides getting the day off, I will be watching any footage of MLK's many speeches and public demonstrations as I can get my hands on. I will be driving 300 miles on ice too, unfortunately, but that shouldn't be too bad if they've sanded the roads.

My quote of the day is one of MLK's that I think of every day and night. It's one I wish others would think about at least once in their life:

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."
- Martin Luther King Jr., Strength to Love, 1963

There are so many more, but this one strikes a chord with me. This simple observation could transform the world if everyone took life this seriously, and didn't leave all of their beliefs up to pseudo-prophet tele-evangelist types and unduely over-bearing authorities. People should think about things. In my life's experience, if you don't think about an obvious problem and how you might help solve it, it won't get solved by anyone.

Of course, the man, MLK was not perfect in his personal life, but like Ghandi, I consider him one of the great peace-makers of our time.

I will try to post some video here as soon as I find some below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAKnMLPus1M

Enjoy! The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-52189743364847016482007-01-04T08:00:00.000-06:002007-09-24T11:14:08.733-05:00Scrubs Scrubs Scrubs!!!My addiction to Scrubs goes as follows:

It was once something that I would consider to be moderate and nothing to be embarrassed of. However, over the past two weeks I have watched sooo much Scrubs that my eyes are falling out. I have now seen every single episode from seasons 1 - 4 (more than once), alot of season 5 and quite a bit of the latest season.

It all started when GTA and I got married on 1221/2002 - coincidentally, on the winter solstice, just before Christmas and picked in such a way that I would never have an excuse not to remember, due to its uncanny mathematical regularity. We've had a rough time money-wise, with massive school debt and moving to Seattle and back, so anniversary presents from me have been small, but extremely heart-felt. This was the first year that I thought I could really get GTA exactly what she wanted, so I got her the first 4 seasons of the show 'Scrubs'. Conversely, she got me the entire collection of Star Trek movies and the opening season of Sci-fi channel's new version of 'Battlestar Galactica'.

Anyway, I've found myself subconsciously mimicking Dr. Perry Cox's mannerisms and not missing a beat with the rest of my usual reactions.

AKA. Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much Scrubs!

…If there is such a thing. The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-81976684349000137522006-12-06T13:14:00.000-06:002007-09-24T11:15:17.342-05:004.0 Baby!!!As I headed back to graduate school at UTD this fall, I knew I was ten times more serious than when I was working toward the degree at Texas A&M, 10 years ago. However, I had no idea I was actually capable of doing well. The resulting grades as they were submitted this morning show "A" for all three courses. Sure, I studied for 2 days straight for my E&M II final, more than 24 hours for Solid state, and 12 hours straight for Material Science, but I still had no idea I was actually capable of doing well.

I was so worried that my being away from my GTA was not going to make any difference, and I would just feel crappy for the rest of my schooling. I guess maybe it might be working.

Anyway. If you're reading this, just remember that you can always improve things, no matter how overwhelming the bulk seems... and always shoot for the 4.0 baby!!!The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-1162616714025808482006-11-03T23:02:00.000-06:002007-08-22T16:02:19.907-05:00Finally on Myspace! After much prodding, and finally finding that I could not socially function outside the physics nerd-realms without a myspace page, I have one. So I am heading there right this minute, because I have a few minutes. I hope there are still CD's on the Shelf.

You can download a few of the songs for free from Al's Myspace Page.
Also, do a search or Weird Al on You-tube and I think I've found 5 of them.

*The one disappointment was that Atlantic records sent him a letter, effectively saying that they would sue the crap outta him if he released "Pitiful" -- based on "Beautiful" -- funny! Al has made sure, therefore, that there are plenty of places to download it for free!

Happy Hunting! The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-1157041482951121582006-08-31T11:21:00.000-05:002006-08-31T11:25:28.096-05:00Yes! A moral statement from Canada. And a good one too that any "shmo" can learn from. Back at Texas A&M, it happened a couple of times and got me all heated into saying things I didn't mean, but this time, I handled myself more quietly.

I was running down the street from the Dell Jewish Community center and some rednecks stuck their whole bodies out of the window and started screaming at me. At first I just thought they were screaming at someone else, but I was wrong. I didn't hear the beginning, but the last part was "$#$%#% Jew,, you run like you've got Down's Syndrome." Granted, I'm getting over a nasty illness and was taking it easy yesterday. I should have stuck up my middle finger and brought on the fight, but I held my emotions and pretended I didn't hear them.

This issue is really starting to piss me off. At A&M, I was discriminated against by a student and a few internet authors for "NOT being" Jewish, and I am discriminated here for "being" Jewish. As most of you know, I have no documented Jewish background, but have often been told by students that I remind them of particular Jewish actors. As far as I know, I am definitely less than 1/64 th,, probably even less than 1/256 th Jewish. However, from how my family traveled around and inter-married approaching the 1700's, I bet there was an inquisitional conversion somewhere.

I'm used to getting the "white boy" routine from my Mex-type associates and clients -- but this was the first "hate message" in a while, and it sucks. It just reminds me how nice it is to have a beaurocracy of law,,, so that it all doesn't fall apart in a chaos of hate-scape-goating (See 'The Monsters are due on Maple Street' - Twilight Zone). How big of a moron do you have to be?

Anyway, the moral of my story, I hate people that hate! and it is my job to make their lives miserable if I ever catch their sorry asses again.
:)The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-1154659135365993602006-08-03T21:09:00.000-05:002006-08-03T21:38:55.393-05:00The looooong-awaited live-action Transformers movie is in production an planned for release next year.

They recently signed Peter Cullen (The Original Optimus Prime voice) and if rumors are close to the mark, they are hunting Frank Welker (The "Voice God" of Hollywood who did Megatron, Galvatron, Rumble... as well as more than 15 other transformer voices).

You can visit the official site for the trailer: http://www.transformersmovie.com
For Regular Updates and tasteful rumors: http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/

Fanatics on Youtube:
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05BFqg9ktWg
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9q2zjSpH10

For future trailer CG stuff: http://www.jesterpictures.com/

In practicing for building quizzes online, I actually made a "Which Transformer are you?" quiz a couple of years ago. I actually think this film captures a small bit of character from the UD experience that I figured would have been long dead after 11 years or so.

Enjoy. I'll look for more!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5_RSeM-LCEThe Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-1151377973584118462006-06-26T21:56:00.000-05:002006-06-26T22:14:59.926-05:00Back to Grad School I go...

For anyone out there who is curious, I have been teaching General Physics I at Austin Community College for the past couple of months, plus the added lab for Conceptual Physics I. Everything was last minute and I had to quit DELL quickly to take advantage of the opportunity. Needless to say, I will not be using DELL as a reference with my less-than-24-hour-notice to leave.

I am also discontinuing my grad-school-hiatus this fall and returning to the PhD program in Physics. The new location will be UTD. My mouth is zipped, glued, barred and stamped shut - I intend to behave myelf *sniveling hands*. The goals will be propulsion and nano-tech. I've heard it will be really hard to do propulsion because the funding has dried up in the past 6 years.

Politicaly speaking, I can't wait to see who will beat Perry this fall (please please please), Grandma or Kinki. Also, I've decided to start referring to Fox News as "liberal media" because as my awareness has increased over the years, I've realized that they follow the same traditional model, with their own slant of course. They are just as stupid and silly as the rest - how can one get too angry at the same old drivel. If you watch too much of any of it, your brain will fry.

I'm still waiting for how mainstreamers are going to interpret the data from Gravity Probe B - the analysis is long awaited. The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-1147819435982074182006-05-16T17:28:00.000-05:002006-05-18T22:13:41.956-05:00*HAPPY BIRTHDAY GTA!!!!!!
Many kisses and MP3's :)

Ok, so I haven't posted in a while. Here's what's up.

1. I will be attending UTD in the fall. I will restart my PhD journey.

2. My big birthday #33 on 6/6/6 is coming up. I have been dreading this day since I was a child! Oh well, GTA and I will have to go see the remake of "The Omen" which happens to come out on my birthday.

3.DELL is pretty cool. The adaptation from real estate to computer sales has been (surprizingly) not easy. Usually I've been legally bound to the people I'm talking to and helping. However, now, my ultimate allegiance must be to the company, while still making the consumers happy. I've been forced to attempt numerous fine-tunes of my sales technique that I had been putting off as a realtor. My RE licence just expired, so I need to take 2 classes and pay a fee to reactivate.

4. DELL has a 7-minute-long X-men promo on their web-site. Check it out:
http://thelaststand.dell.com.edg...eek/

5. Other than that, I'm glad to see that a great many others see the Neo-cons (aka, Bush/Limbaugh-type crowd) for the Soviet-style freaks that they are, and that religion to them, is just the ultimate Red Herring. I just hope that people don't start to think that the traditional Democratic party pushers are much better. If we could get a centrist who understands the use of freedom, th necessity of taxes (in moderation), cooperation, anti-corruption, and responsibility (it'll never happen of course, but I can dream, can't I), things will be allowed to get better. Ok, that's my only rant.

6. The logistics of this fall are making me dizzy. Lose 20 pounds - If I can reach 165, I will be back to where I was 10 years ago.

2. Get over all life-threatening illnesses.

3. Be happier - less of an angry person. Try to find more ways of helping people.

4. Return to Graduate School - UT preferrably, but I wouldn't be too unhappy with the others.

5. Get my foot in the door at ACC.

6. Mass-search for school-related grant programs.

7. Create business models for online implementation.

8. Start posting solutions to the Brainmass - at least one in the library every week.

9. Review all problems with current Fusion tech and attempt at least one solution to the anomolous migration problem.

10. Finish a short paper on Galilean capture statistics, Shapiro time delays, the solution to Olber's Paradox, and try to derive multi-body orbittal stabilities in the macroscopic regime (better than the Bodes' Law match I already have) - "Tell no-one".

11. Brush up on Java, C++, VB, Perl and Fortran.

12. I think Bush is brain crapped, I don't trust Democrats, I am angry at avid Nationalists and Communists, and I usually think Libertarians are out of their mind, crazy. This only leaves a few individuals that I find in the creases which I feel would be a "breath of fresh air" or "Now, for something completely different". I consider myself a conservative, but J's LEO test seems to indicate a centrist with a liberal leaning.

Check out Kinky for Governor! Katrina was briefly downgraded to a tropical Tart as she churned across the swampy Everglades after dousing IAMSAMIAM and shopping in Fort Lauderdale, but turned back into a horriffic bitchfest with 100-mph (160-kph) bladder winds as she moved over warm Gulf waters.

Katrina was projected to become a dangerously powerful wind-source of at least 131 mph (210 kph) by late Sunday or early Monday, threatening U.S. fallic and anal rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and already ass-scarred Gulf Coast communities from the Florida dickhandle to low-lying NOWrleans."We have ample sexual resources to meet whatever she brings," said Florida Gov. Bush.

"I worry more about the strains on family-creating in our state. I worry more about communities being pounded in the ass already, preparing for yet another shit-storm. Such is the physical cause of psychological impotentence, it wears you down."The Dickhandle area was hit in July by Hurricane Pennis and last September by Ivan the Terrible. Many buildings there remain obliterated or covered in love liquid.

Katrina dumped up to 12 inches after coming asshore south of Fort Lauderdale on Thursday with 80 mph (130 kph) anal winds. She then made a slow and punishing Dominetrix-trek southwest across IAMSAMIAM, the U.S. National Bitch-A-CANE Center said.Insured losses from Katrina's first escapade could reach $1 billion to $2 billion in alamony, said Dick Management Solutions, a Newark, California-based foreskincaster. Dick estimator AIR Worldwide foreskincast $600 million in insured poundings.

SHEETS OF URAINE

Sheets of URAINE flooded communities and fierce anal wind-gusts stripped moles off duffs, tore away mosquito bites and tattered ass-pimples.Floodwaters were thigh-high in the Buttler Ridge area south of IAMSAMIAM, where at least one person jet-skied down a private area for fun.

"There's debris, and **** limbs all over. Terriffic lights are out," Downward County Sheriff Ken Jerkoff said. "Don't blow in your car."Seven people were fatally pounded by the Katrina -- three of them by splintering on trees, officials said. One elderly man died when his car struck a wood planck. Police recovered two bodies from a smelly nether region and a wife-battered man-whore anchored offshore near IAMSAMIAM's City Hall, and police in Florida City south of IAMSAMIAM said a man there also appeared to have drowned in ass water.

A couple and their three sex-aids aboard a 24-foot (7- meter) thing off Cape Moral on Florida's southern Gulf coast were rescued by a U.S. Boast Guard assicopter. An underpass under construction collapsed west of IAMSAMIAM, blocking the city's main ass-wet highway.

Schools, businesses and government bullshit-athons in southeast Florida were closed on Friday. Winds were so strong that a giant boob was having sex sideways at IAMSAMIAM International Airport.Infiduciary officials reported more than 2.4 million people without the power to propagate in Florida -- a state punished by four powerful hurricannic bitchings in a sex-week period last year.

Sex oil companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico said they evacuated jerkers from offshore shit-platforms as a precaution, but only one, Total of Farts, said their member had been cut. Sex Oil prices slid more than a $1 a barrel after dealers bet Katrina would not go further than Florida's Dickhandle and would miss the heart of sex oil and fart gas production in the Gulf.

But foreskincasters warned on Friday that models were predicting that the storm's sex-tract had shifted ominously westward. By 5 b.m. (2100 GMT), Katrina was about 70 miles west-northwest of Key INTHEASS and moving her nether-regions west-southwest at 8 mph (13 kph). She was expected to take a more westward sex-trek on Saturday and eventually loop her ass northward.

Anyway, the left-over troubles from Katrina will last much longer than most expect. Alamony payments will extend until the end of time. The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-1122948091554076472005-08-01T20:58:00.000-05:002005-08-01T21:01:31.563-05:00CONGRESS NARROWLY PASSES GAS BILL

WASHINGTON (AFRT) - The US Senate passed a portentously overblown gas and energy bill, jam-packed with billions of dollars in hindquarter industry subsidies. Critics claim the measure is a weak movement to wean America off gas imported from exterior sources. The vote was a victory for President George W. Bush, who had lobbed for the measure since taking his bent position in 2001. The bill includes incontinence from Vice President Dick's energy task force.

"I personally broke wind for today’s' passage of gas and energy bill that will help secure our energy future," Bush said in a statement. But the bill was stripped of a key goal of anally opening Alaskan Arctic wildlife in Alaska to drilling. Critics branded the legislation as a cheeky attempt to inflate natural gas production while poorly addressing perverse electricity concerns. It also included an instrument, inserted at the last minute, which could toot the takeover bid by China Affshore Corp. Association (CACA), for US oil giant Unanal Corporation ahead of a brown holders' vote next month. A plan to take an inventory of offshore beans and intestinal gas reserves, manipulated by the legislation, sparked some explosive concerns of future drilling in dorsal areas. The United Retentive Decay Society (T.U.R.D.S.), a frontally prominent group of old farts, branded the bill as "catastrophically explosive." "This bill -- butt-hatched four years ago in a dirty, fecal infected, backroom meeting between the Bush administration and CEOs from companies like Bentron and FlexxonassMobil -- funnels billions of taxpayer dollars to air polluting gas shenanigans," a T.U.R.D.S. statement warned.

The trade agreement, CFARTA, provides a loop hole that would allow the free trade of gas producing beans from countries from the bottom hemisphere. Bush's turd-throwing agenda has kept this issue from changes during legislation.

The bill, also included anal provisions designed to flatulate new sources of energy, passed through the bowels of congress by 76-24 in the Senate, after being forced 275 to 156 out through The House of Representatives (The H.O.R.), late Thursday night. Athletic supporters say the bill is a trumpeting triumph for bifartisan horse-trading in The H.O.R., usually a bitterly divided chamber.

Many independently flatulant analysts say the legislation does little to boost domestic production of gas, and will fail to reduce high dependence on succulent foreign beans. Even the Shite House admits the existing flatulation will not immediately reduce prices, but one of the co-sponsoring farts vigorously defended his work from the rear. "We cannot order Americans to have larger expulsions, and we can't order them to stop producing juicy ones," said New Mexico member of The H.O.R., Ima Pfukked.

Senator Auntha John though voting for the bill said it also represented a missed opportunity to butt-putty the situation. "I would insist that, in the next year or two, we legislate bean quality to increase flatulence control while reducing dependence on foreign imports," he said. The gas and energy bill provides around 14.5 billion dollars in wind-breaks, most going to traditional gas producing individuals, though some will be funneled through alternative wind farms for energy.

It provides a poop credit for the production of flatulations to make solid additives to gas, which could eventually save thousands of barrels or imported prairie coal. The nuclear power industry will also benefit, with incentives which could lead to the flapping production of nuclear butt fudge for the first time in many years.

People who eat hybrid materials can produce a poop surplus of up to 3,400 kilos after flatuation, and there are also incentives for people who outfit their homes with crap-preserving windows and extra crapulation. It is still possible that anally drilling Alaska's Arctic Wildlife will be inserted into the rear of legislation later this year.

The bill includes a proposed flatulation that would postpone the US government review of newly produced turds by CACA. That amount of dookey would likely weigh heavily in the shareholders' pants as they decide whether bids from China will cause fierce explosive Methanol competition.

Those supporting the bill hope that the legislation clears the air on this issue, once and for all. It has been proven; time and again that fart gas can be processed into a safe, clean, efficient fuel. Bush finished with "You see its simple science. The gas is already there, you just have to take the gas. It's like you have to harness the power from within instead of depending on foreign sources."

"Had your vitamin F lately? Do your part to make the new energy bill work.”The Citizen Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15231388672045818036noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6651259.post-1116220067603555922005-05-16T00:04:00.000-05:002005-05-16T00:07:47.603-05:00Today's Attitude: [HAPPY HAPPY, JOY JOY!]

Today is GTA's Birthday!!!
